Cupcakes

Dan and I grabbed lunch a couple of blocks from the office today. On our way there, several men were taking to the sidewalks, giving out free snack cakes. They also have a program where you can take your picture in front of their Little Debbie-branded Smart Cars, which you can win!

In light of the new FTC Guidelines on Endorsements and Testimonials, I should make clear that, though Little Debbie gave me a free cupcake, this post represents my own views.

If I gave in and bought a box of certain favorite Little Debbie's, I am sure that I would eat the entire box within 24 hours or less. That is the reason I have to pass the display without even taking time to glance with a wishful eye. Hope you enjoyed yours and am certainly glad that you covered yourself in light of the new FTC Guidelines on Endorsements and Testimonials. I was worried there for a minute.

Back in my college days, my BFF's boyfriend bought her two cases of Little Debbie snackcakes. Somewhere between 16 and 20 boxes in each case. We ate almost all of them over the course of a month or so. We got down to a couple of boxes and started gagging on them. I'm not sure I can ever eat one again. I may have lost a year of my life thanks to LD.
